Pregnancy and Back Pain

During pregnancy it is very common to have low back pain. While your baby is growing, more pressure is being put on the ligaments, tendons, and muscles of the abdomen and lower back. Many times this increase in pressure on the spine leads to radiating leg pain, otherwise known as sciatica. This pain is typically sharp in nature and usually radiates past the knee. This makes it difficult to move, walk upright, sleep, or even change positions.

At Schoeb Chiropractic, PLLC pregnant patients are able to lay face down on tables even when full term! The middle part of the table supports the baby and abdomen while allowing spinal adjustments to be performed comfortably. The table also moves up and down (horizontal to vertical and vice versa) making it easier for a pregnant patient to get on and off of the treatment table.
